San Jose is a very interesting city. It's crazy, full of noises and smells and markets and street venders. Everyone yelling in Spanish about some lottery or something. Our hotel is just out of town, so it's about a twenty to thirty minute walk to the real heart of San Jose. Naturally, we've been both days that I've been here so far. I'm amazed at how much more I understand today than I did yesterday. It really is incredible how much difference a day makes.
There are so many pictures I want to upload. However, my internet is slow and rather temperamental, so I'll have to wait until we arrive at Monteverde. The best one is of the mango I purchased that is as big as my face. Well, maybe that's the best one. I'll be able to upload pictures at some point. ;)
I'm really so happy with the people that are on this trip. I already love everyone and feel like a family, haha. It's been so great to meet so many fantastic people from so many places. I'm stoked that UCSB is the majority, but everyone is just so fun and interesting and willing to be open and share about themselves. Gahhh, it's just great. And I can already tell that the professors are going to be wonderful.
I'm just so happy. Sooo happy to be here.
We have a nice 12 day camping trip in our very near future. Everything is just so new and exciting. :)
And now, time for lecture.
